Dr. Kedrace Turyagyenda

Dr. Kedrace Rwankore Turyagyenda is a distinguished educationist with over 43 years of expertise in the education sector. She holds a PhD in Education Management, a Master of Science from Leicester University (UK), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics, along with a Diploma in Education from Makerere University. Additionally, she has undertaken numerous specialized trainings in various fields.
Currently serving as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Dr. Kedrace has held several key leadership roles throughout her career. She has served as a Commissioner in the Education Policy Review Commission, Director of Education Standards, Commissioner for Secondary Education Standards, Lecturer, and Tutor at the National Teachers College Kabale, as well as a High School Headteacher and Secondary School Teacher specializing in Chemistry and Mathematics.
A seasoned scholar, she has presented papers at international, regional, and national conferences and has published six peer-reviewed articles. She has also served on numerous Boards and Councils across various institutions and organizations, contributing to policy development and institutional growth.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Kedrace is deeply rooted in her faith. She accepted Jesus Christ while in primary school and has since been guided by biblical principles of integrity, excellence, hard work, and a results-oriented approach. She is a devoted mentor, preacher, and teacher, using her platform to inspire and guide others.
Dr. Kedrace is married to Canon Henry Turyagyenda and is a devoted mother and grandmother.
